ABOUT PRINTS: Each print is numbered. Usually the first few prints are labeled A/P1  for artist proof. This allows for corrections on the print. Succeeding prints are numbered similar to this: 3/10. The top or first number indicates that this is the third print made while the bottom number indicates that a total of ten prints were run in the edition.

INTAGLIO PRINTS: A zinc plate is etched with a stylus and chemicals to create an image in reverse.  The plate is inked and run through a printing press to create an edition of images.

RELIEF PRINTS: A  block with a linoleum or wood  surface is craved. It is then inked and printed.

PHOTOGRAVURE: An image is digitized, converted to high quality black and white and printed on a plastic sheet using an inkjet printer.  This image is exposed to ultraviolet light to create a negative image. This plastic plate is inked, covered with paper and run through a press that presses the ink from the plate onto the paper, creating a positive image.
